If you are reading this, you are probably wondering what this blog/site is all about? In a nutshell: It is a place for me to brain dump while I work on a number of Adobe Flex related projects and somewhere to showcase those projects. Many years ago my brother introduced me to Flash MX. At the time I didn’t appreciate the power of ActionScript, so I left him to champion the web design world while I moved back to application development.
I came across Flex early in 2007 while I was working on an audit and reporting project and found it extremely useful for displaying statistics. Soon afterwards I realised how powerful a tool it was and just how much potential it has in these emerging years of platform independent applications, be they browser based or native. Now with the advent of mobile computing, the need for a decent rich application language and runtime has become more apparent.
