To publish or not to publish, that is the question! As a programmer I often feel wary about sharing my hard work with the world for no apparent reward. This, bolstered by the fact that people I generally work for don’t want me to share my work either, makes me feel even more nervous. That said, the purpose of this site is to be generous and show off my abilities as much as possible. When I am feeling selfish about my code, I often remind myself of the inspiring Kato Wulf (the creator of Zentrack) and the huge amount of graft he put in for the love of his project. Obviously, I have great respect for people like Richard Stallman and Linus Torvalds too, but Kato is much closer to [my virtual] home. More »
